Friendly: Manchester United vs Valencia

Though it barely registers in terms of major events on the European calendar, it's Super Cup Tuesday schedule. That means Champions League winners Real Madrid playing Europa League winners Sevilla at Cardiff City Stadium. Manchester United and Valencia meet in a friendly.

Real Madrid vs Sevilla at 2:45pm on Fox Sports 1. The UEFA Super Cup moves to Cardiff and a new date since there's no longer an August international friendly window. That might mean more interest in a game that struggles for general relevance. That's not much of a problem when one of the teams involved is a giant like Real Madrid. Oddly enough, it's Sevilla that's the more recent Super Cup winner. Sevilla won in 2006 and played in 2007. Real Madrid won the last time they played in the Super Cup, way back in 2002.

That’s what we’re here for," Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said. "When you play in a final you prepare to win it and give your all. As with all finals, it will be very difficult, although we may be favorites because we are Real Madrid."

Manchester United vs Valencia at 2:30pm on ESPN Deportes. Manchester United play their final friendly at Old Trafford in an oddly scheduled game. Manchester United open the 2014-15 Premier League season on Saturday, also at Old Trafford. With Manchester United not making major moves in the transfer market under new manager Luis van Gaal, it's an interesting choice for a friendly.
